Using Helpdesk

Step 1 - Download and Install

Click on the button below to download the Helpdesk application. When the download is complete, just run the setup program. Everything will be set up for you automatically. The setup process will place a Helpdesk icon on your desktop.

Step 2 - Run the Application

It is a good idea to run the app once so that it will generate some baseline data. It basically takes a snapshot of critical systems so that they can be used for comparisons later.

Click on the HelpDesk Icon to launch the program. Check the Save to Desktop checkbox. Then click the Generate Report button. It will create a ZIP file and put it on your desktop. You can just delete this file. It is not needed now.

Step 3 - Do Nothing

Helpdesk is now doing its job and needs nothing from you. It will silently collect and log information on activity it sees. It stores in on your computer so if it is needed later it will be available. It is safe and private. Nothing ever leaves your computer.

Step 4 - Got problems?

Here is where Helpdesk proves its value. Most problems are ones you cannot see. But our experts can, especially with the data Helpdesk has recorded. To get fast, expert help, you need to do 3 things.

Generate a diagnostic report and save it to your desktop
Order a full diagnostic analysis from us by selecting the Order Report item from the menu above.
Upload your diagnostic report to us by selecting the Upload Diagnostic item from the menu above.

That's it! We'll get back to you within 24 hours and often much sooner. We'll tell you what we find and give you instructions how to fix it in plain English. And, we'll stick with you until it is resolved.
